Dyson is fully committed to changing the haircare game in the same way they did vacuums back in the day.
After launching their Supersonic hairdryer and Airwrap styler previously, they’ve now dropped a brand new straightener called the Corrale.
The device can be used cordless or corded, and if you choose to go for the cordless option you’ll get around 30 minutes of use.
Dyson promises ‘50% less breakage, less frizz and fewer flyaways’ compared to other straighteners, which is a bold claim.
This is supposed to be all to do with the ‘flexing’ plates, which are made from a manganese copper alloy.
The heat settings available are 165ᵒC, 185ᵒC, and 210ᵒC, and it has built-in sensor systems that regulate the temperature of the plates 100 times a second to ensure they don’t overheat and damage hair.
The reviews so far are extremely positive, and on the Dyson website, it has a 4.8 out of 5. One person claims: ‘This is an amazing option that no other product of this kind has to offer. The quality is as always top class with Dyson. Your hair is in good hands!’
Another said: ‘You wonder how you can possibly improve on the humble hair straighteners but this really is a game-changer.’
It’s high price, but worth noting that it does come with a high price tag. The Corrale costs £399, which is £200 more than the GHD Platinum in rose gold at £199.
Much like with the vacuums, though, there are some people that are Dyson loyals, so this won’t affect their choice in whether to buy too much.
