If you need a little inspiration to help you to keep going during this extremely strange time in the world, then look no further.
Naomi Campbell took to Instagram on Friday to share a video clip of herself falling over on the Vivienne Westwood runway circa 1993. Wearing an extremely high pair of platform shoes, Campbell took a tumble, and couldn’t help but laugh as she hit the floor. After gathering her composure, the model got the hell back up and completed her walk.
The supermodel wrote on Instagram, “‘Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.’ — Nelson Mandela @viviennewestwood #1993 #fbf.”
In 2013, Campbell was reunited with the famous shoes during an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show in the United Kingdom. The talk show host presented Campbell with the famous pair of platform heels, and invited her to put them on once more.
Taking to a catwalk in the studio, Campbell donned the shoes and didn’t fall. Tweeting about the appearance, and her impromptu reunion with the unforgettable Vivienne Westwood platforms, Campbell tweeted, “Reunited once again # my shoes @VivenneWestwood I stayed standing. Thank Jonathan Ross @Wossy had a laugh!”
