Andrea McLean reveals what she doesn’t like doing with husband in rare home life admission

Andrea McLean, 50, has been working from home today after ITV made the decision to suspend filming Loose Women, where she is a main anchor, due to coronavirus fears. The presenter took the opportunity to update her 249,000 Instagram followers on her progress by providing a video tour around her makeshift office.

Andrea explained in the clip: “I thought I’d share with you what my office looks like at the moment, because clearly the kids are here and they are doing their homework in the kitchen which is where I normally work.”

The mum-of-two went on to reveal she prefers not to work alongside her husband Nick Feeney, as he distracts her.

She added: “Nick is working in the office, I don’t like working alongside him because I can’t concentrate.”

Spinning the camera around to face a laptop balanced on top of a washing basket, Andrea revealed: “So currently, this is my office.”

The television personality then asked fans not to judge her as she addressed the decorative rose crystal in her bedroom.

She continued: “It is a laundry basket, with a tray, with my laptop, a nice rose crystal, don’t judge me, I like all that sort of thing. And a view out of my bedroom window.”

Andrea shared the video alongside a caption which reads: “Day 1 working from home with kids off school.

“They are teenagers so I can set tasks, I don’t have to sit right next to them while they work. Goodness knows how this is going to turn out!

“Sending loving thoughts to everyone trying to work from home right now… how are you getting on? #workingfromhome #corona.”

Fans took to the comments section of Andrea’s post to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: “Exactly the same here! Except I’m in my kitchen!”

Another added: This is hard. Trying to wfh and home school two girls, one of which is very challenging. #sendgin x.”

The Loose Women star’s comments about working from home come after ITV discussed their decision to stop broadcasting Lorraine and Loose Women live from March 23 as a result of the spread of the coronavirus.

A statement read: “ITV Daytime has taken the decision to stop broadcasting Lorraine and Loose Women live from Monday 23rd March.

“This decision has been made to minimise the number of staff travelling in and out of our studios and working together on shift at any one time.

“We’re focusing our efforts on providing to viewers the latest news on the rapidly changing situation which aims to offer some stability and continuity in all our lives whilst so many of us are at home right now.

“That’s why we have taken this tough decision to protect our GMB News programme in the morning and keep This Morning on air for as long as possible.

“From Monday we will be running an extended version of Good Morning Britain from 0600 until 10am.

“At 9am Lorraine Kelly will join Piers in the GMB studio for the last hour and then hand straight over to the This Morning studio with Phillip and Holly as usual running from 10am until 1230pm.

“We will then run some of our most favourite repeat episodes of Loose Women from 12.30pm to 1.30pm to give viewers something to smile about each day at lunchtime.”
