Carole Baskin Speaks Out After Being Tricked by YouTubers Pretending to Be Jimmy Fallon Producers

Carole Baskin has been shying away from the spotlight in the wake of Tiger King, but apparently she was willing to make an exception for Jimmy Fallon. The problem? Jimmy Fallon didn’t actually invite her on his show, and Carole ended up speaking to YouTubers Josh Pieters and Archie Manners, who tricked her into thinking they were Tonight Show producers. The result? Carole Baskin’s first interview since Tiger King:

Surprisingly, Carole doesn’t have any hard feelings towards Josh and Archie, telling Us Weekly, “I was suspicious as we were doing it because the questions appeared taped. But had no idea it would turn out to be such a fun prank. It gave us a very welcome good laugh. I appreciate their cleverness and that they created their video in a way that I don’t feel was in any way mean-spirited.”

Before you get too excited, Carole doesn’t talk about Tiger King or the mysterious disappearance of her husband Don Lewis in the fake Fallon interview, but does say that her park is currently shut down amid the coronavirus pandemic, and that she’s “had to let go about half” of her staff. Apparently, this means Carole’s in charge of taking care of 55 cats with limited help. Best of luck, girl!
