Ciara and Russell Wilson are another celebrity couple pitching in during the coronavirus pandemic.
In a video announcement posted on their individual social media accounts, the singer and the Seattle Seahawks quarterback share that they will be donating one million meals to a local food bank to support relief efforts during these trying times.
“People are losing loved ones—the elderly and the young, the people in between. You think about people losing jobs—even in Seattle … ,” the NFL star says in the clip. “What we’ve decided to do is partner up with our local food bank in Seattle, Seattle Food Lifeline, and we’re gonna donate a million meals, hopefully make a difference.”

The couple also pleads for fans to practice social distancing and continuing to “keep the faith” during the unprecedented global pandemic.
Ciara and Wilson join a growing list of celebrities who are doing their parts. Yesterday, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds revealed that they donated $1 million to American and Canadian food banks to help combat the crisis.
“Together, we will conquer this tough time we are going through,” Ciara encourages in her post.
