Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has shared a black and white photo of himself cradling his newborn daughter following the recent death of his newborn daughter’s twin.
The footballing star shared the heart-warming picture with his 436 million followers.
In the black and white shot, Cristiano, 37, is sat on a leather armchair topless as he cradles his newborn daughter in his arms.
The Portuguese star is looking down at the newborn who is laying on a blanket and wearing a nappy and a woolly hat.
He captioned the sweet photo: “Forever Love…” followed by a red heart emoji and a praying hands emoji.
His fellow Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford took to the post to share a red heart emoji.
Cristiano’s sister Katia Aveiro took to the post to share a heartfelt message to her brother in their native Portuguese
She wrote: “Minhas vidas” followed by a red heart emoji and the phrase translates to “my life”.
While fans also rushed to the post to share their good wishes to the sports star.
One wrote: “Family is everything brother” followed by a red heart emoji.
Another asked: “Your baby what’s the name?”
While a third added: “Love you” followed by three red heart emojis and three red lips emojis.
Cristiano and his partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28,announced that they were expecting twinsin October last year but shared the devastating news on Monday 18 April that one of their twin babies has passed away.
They wereexpecting both a little boy and a little girl, and the boy sadly passed away.
The football legend returned to the Manchester United line-up for the first time last weekend following the tragic news.
The striker scored the only goal for United in the 34th minute and shared a touching tribute to his late son after the goal against Arsenal.
In a poignant moment following scoring for his side, the footballer appeared to dedicate his goal to his late son in an emotional and understated celebration.
