Curtis Pritchard’s childhood friend denies cheating allegations and says Maura Higgins was ‘never that into him’

A childhood friend of brothers Curtis and AJ Pritchard has exclusively told OK! online that Curtis was nothing but “loyal and supportive” of Maura Pritchard, while she was never that into him.

Curtis and Maura, 29, are reported to have split after she confronted him over cheating allegations.

The professional dancer, 24, has not put out a public statement about the claims, but now a friend has spoken out about the situation.

Speaking about Curtis they said: “Throughout the relationship all I’ve ever seen is Curtis gushing about how much he loves Maura.

“He was genuinely so happy with her. I think the problem may have been on her side and not his.

“Curtis is genuinely a nice guy. He has never cheated on any girlfriends as far as I know and I'm pretty sure he didn’t cheat on Maura.”

The friend also revealed that while Curtis has openly professed his love for Maura, she hasn’t openly reciprocated it.

“I remember on Valentine’s Day seeing his lovely post about her online, but then I never saw anything from her about how much she loves him that day,” they said.

“Maybe she just wanted a way out of the relationship and wasn't that in to him after leaving the villa.

“I do feel bad for Curtis because he’s taken the high road and won’t get involved in a slanging match with someone he cared so much for.

“But I really feel for the poor girl who people are saying Curtis cheated with. All she’s done is be one of like 20 dancers in AJ’s show, and now she’s being trolled online for something she didn’t do.

“The truth will find a way out eventually.”

The comments come just hours after Maura, who is said to have ended the relationship three months ago, made it clear to her followers that she is getting over her dancer ex with a defiant post on Instagram.

Maura shared a picture of herself smiling on the social media platform and captioned it: “A strong women never gives up on herself, but she may give up on you”.

The photograph racked up thousands of likes and was inundated with compliments as one follower said: “Single and ready to mingle. You are truly gorgeous.”
