Classic rock photographer Fiona Adams, well known for early photographs of The Beatles, died on Friday, June 26, at the age of 84.
Adams’ son Karl confirmed the photographer’s death to BBC News, revealing that she had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February.
A photograph Adams took of the Beatles at a London bomb site was used as the cover for the band’s Twist And Shout EP, although she also snapped iconic images of David Bowie, Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendrix, among others.
Adams’ passing comes shortly after the death of Astrid Kirchherr, another famous early Beatles photographer, who died on May 12 at the age of 81.
