GLAAD will host a virtual ceremony for the 31st Annual GLAAD Media Awards on July 30, featuring special guests Dolly Parton, Lil Nas X, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union.
Cara Delevingne, Kaitlyn Dever, and WWE superstar Sonya Deville also are among special guests.
The original ceremony, which was scheduled to be held earlier this year, was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The event will stream on GLAAD’s Facebook and YouTube on July 30 at 8 pm ET, and will air on Logo on August 3 at 8 pm ET.
GLAAD announced that comedians Fortune Feimster and Gina Yashere will host the virtual ceremony, which will feature a special performance from Grammy-nominated duo Chloe x Halle.
GLAAD announced over 175 nominees in 30 categories, including the returning category for Outstanding Broadway Production, for this year’s award.
“As this year’s Media Awards go virtual, we hope to send a powerful message to LGBTQ people that in the midst of this culturally and politically divisive time, our visibility and voices have never been more important,” said GLAAD President & CEO Sarah Kate Ellis.
