There’s more to Kanye West than music and fashion.
A collection of the 42-year-old musician’s impressive artwork from high school surfaced on “Antiques Roadshow” and could sell for thousands at auction, according to an appraisal from Laura Woolley, an expert who appears on the show.
Woolley shows off a variety of West’s work created in 1995 when he was just 17 years old. Along with the collection, which includes graphite, Gouacheon on board and scratchboard pieces, Woolley displays a pamphlet that explained West’s art school education up until that point.
The “Jesus Walks” rapper attended the Hyde Park Art Academy, Art Institute of Chicago, Nanjing University in China and the Polaris School for Individual Education.
“By age 17, he’s already been studying at these extraordinary artistic institutions,” Woolley explained.
She said his collection could sell from $16,000 to $23,000.
