Liz Hurley breaks silence on ex Steve Bing’s death and admits she’s ‘devastated’ in emotional tribute

Liz Hurley has shared her heartbreak over the news of her ex lover Steve Bing’s death.

The 55 year old model broke her silence on Twitter following the news of film producer Steve dying in a suspected suicide aged 55.

Austin Powers actress Liz, who shares son Damian with Steve, shared a series of photos of her and the father of her child together throughout the years.

One of the snaps show the former lovers, who dated briefly in 2001, leaning their heads towards one another while Liz is wearing a pink vest top and Steve is wearing a navy jumper and smiling at the camera.

Another photo sees Liz, once again dressed in pink, sitting on Steve’s lap while the pair appear to be sitting on a plane and are both smiling.

The third image sees the couple standing on a beach in front of a pier filled with funfair rides while Steve has his arm around the model who is leaning into Steve’s chest.

The fourth and final photograph shows the pair sitting in the back of a car as Liz affectionately leans towards the movie mogul with her arm around him while he grasps the actress’ hand and grins widely in the picture.

Model Liz shared a heartfelt tribute and opened up about her “devastation” over the loss of Steve.

She wrote: “I’m saddened beyond belief that Steve is no longer with us.

“Our time together was very happy & although there were some tough times, the memories of a sweet, kind man are what matter.

“We became close again in the last year & last spoke on our son’s 18th. This is devastating news.”

The couple’s son Damian Hurley, 18, has also spoken out on his father's passing, and took to Instagram to thank everyone for their support in the "strange and confusing time".

As he shared an image of an evening sky on Instagram, he wrote in the caption: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone that has reached out following the devastating news.

“I’m trying to reply to as many of you as I can, but please know I will always remember your kindness. This is a very strange and confusing time and I’m immensely grateful to be surrounded by my phenomenal family and friends”.

Steve died aged 55 after reportedly taking his own life on Monday 22 June.

US reports claim Steve fell from his luxury apartment, on the 27th floor, in Century City neighbourhood in Los Angeles and was later pronounced dead at 1.10pm.

A source has told TMZ how Steve became “depressed” over the lack of human contact during quarantine, but the publication insisted they did not know if that caused him to reportedly take his own life.

The Los Angeles Police Department have said they’re investigating the death of a man in his 50s in the Century City area of the city.
