Mel B has revealed that she is still stuck in bed for the fifth week after catching coronavirus.
Taking to her Instagram platform on Wednesday, the former Spice Girl revealed the news about her health alongside a collage of idyllic throwback holiday snaps from her getaway to the Maldives.
In the caption, the 46 year old pined to be back in full health and enjoying a tropical holiday but explained that she was instead still feeling the side effects of Covid more than a month after catching it.
"In my head I'm here @youandmemaldives ahhhh what a beautiful place, sunshine crystal clear sea being totally spoilt rotten in my private villa named after me," she wrote.
Mel added: "But in reality right now I'm curled up in bed getting over the final long haul of COVID #itsbeen5weeksnow. Take me back to paradise, #covidisnojoke."
The star's fans left comments of support under her post, with one commenting: "You will be back there soon, rest is all you can do right now and you are through the worst! Big hugs beautiful."
Another wrote: "Hope you'll feel better soon!" while a third added: "I hope you get better soo, we love you Mel."
The pandemic has been particularly tough for Mel, who has been separated from her youngest daughter, Madison, 10.
Mel is now back living in her native Leeds, while Madison is living with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte in Los Angeles because of their shared custody agreement.
"I've been a single parent for a long time, as I've always been the one who financially and emotionally supported my family," she told OK! earlier this year.
Mel continued to explain: "Unfortunately, due to the justice system, a difficult situation with my ex, and the fact that my youngest is an American citizen, I have shared care of Madison – and because of Covid, flying between America and the UK has been really difficult.
"Not having my baby with me for months at a time is the hardest thing I've had to deal with."
As well as Madison, Mel is mother to Phoenix Chi, 22, and 14 year old Angel from previous relationships.
