Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, 29, found the funny side to Rob Brydon’s cheeky comment about her marriage, in tonight’s episode of Would I Lie To You?

During the opening credits as he introduced the show’s guests, Rob couldn’t resist mocking the so called Strictly Come Dancing curse when he introduced Oti to viewers.

He joked: “A professional dancer from Strictly Come Dancing, she’s happily married, she’s recently divorced… we will edit that nearer the time.

“It’s Oti Mabuse.”

The professional dancer appeared shocked by his remark, but struggled to contain her laughter as she clapped along with the audience.

Rob appeared to be referring to the so-called Strictly curse, which is a term used to refer to a breakdown in the relationship of a participating celebrity or professional dancer during, or soon after the show.

Oti has been married to her husband and fellow dancer Marius Iepure since 2012.

Last year on the show, she danced and won with actor Kelvin Fletcher.

During the series, the pair raised eyebrows with their sultry Rumba routine to Ain’t No Sunshine.

At the time, Oti’s sister Motsi Mabuse, who is a judge on the show, jokingly said of their routine: “Hold on Kelvin that’s my sister, stop it.”

Judge Craig Revel Horwood also jokingly branded the routine “filth”.

Oti laughed off comments that the dancing duo appeared a little too close and revealed her spouse had in fact encouraged them to get up close.

She told The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine: “Because he’s a dancer, he fully understands what a Rumba is.

“He told me that you have to make it look like a Rumba otherwise you’re just two friends on the floor and what’s the point?”

Oti has previously said her spouse jokingly warns her male dance partners about dancing with her, ahead of their stint with her on Strictly.

Recalling one particular moment, Oti said Marius had rejected flowers gifted from her 2018 partner Graeme Swann.

She said: “I remember when he met Graeme, and Graeme is one of my best friends now, but he knew nothing about me.

Speaking on Loose Women, she added: “He gives them [her partners[ the firm handshake.

“It’s sexy, when you are standing there and your man is threatening your dance partner. I love it, I’m like, ‘That’s my man’.”
