Prince Harry was feeling the London love as he and Meghan Markle began making their last round of royal duties on Thursday.
“Many of you tonight have told me you have my back,” he said during his speech at the Endeavour Fund Awards at Mansion House, adding, “Well, I’m also here to tell you, I always have yours.”
His speech was met with applause and cheers from the audience, seen in a video tweeted by Daily Mail reporter Rebecca English.
Harry and Markle, who stunned in a turquoise Victoria Beckham dress, each presented an award at the event.
This was the first time Harry, 35, and Markle, 38, stepped out together in the UK since their departure from the royal family. They appeared to be in a cheerful mood and were smiling as they met with award nominees and attendees.
Their last visit together was back in January before the terms of Megxit were finalized.
Earlier in the day, the couple was criticized for not bringing baby Archie along with them.
They will also attend the Mountbatten Festival of Music at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday and the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on Monday where Markle will see the Queen, Charles, Camilla, William and Kate for the first time since Megxit.
Harry and Markle will be royal-free beginning on April 1.
