Scott Disick’s critics rejoice as ex-girlfriend ties the knot in days

Scott Disick, 39, and Lionel Richie’s daughter Sofia, 24, had an on-and-off again relationship for three years starting in 2017.

Now, less than three years since their split, 24-year-old Sofia is getting married in France in just a few days after converting to Judaism for her new beau.

The lucky groom marrying into the globally renowned Richie family is 29-year-old Elliot Grainge, a multimillionaire and CEO of Universal Music Group.

In the run-up to their big day, Sofia has been keeping her 8.2 million Instagram followers updated on the finishing touches and revealing some sweet moments with her soon-to-be-husband.

However, the snaps of Sofia and Elliot over recent days have caused a surprising reaction as Scott’s critics have been simultaneously applauding her marriage while brandishing brutal criticisms against her ex.

On the Kardashian Reddit thread, one fan joked: “Scott is like Chuck from good luck chuck. After you breakup w him you find your husband LMAO.”

Another declared: “I feel like she healed from a toxic guy and went to a stable loving relationship, and we always root for that,” while a third added: I’m very glad she got away from Scott. She has her whole privileged life ahead of her and he was a succubus on her.”

It has seemingly become a double-whammy for Scott as just last week the Disney+ documentary following his ex-wife’s new marriage released, titled Til Death Do Us Part Kourtney and Travis.

One Redditor pointed this out saying: “Sofia being engaged, Kourtney being married, and Scott is still hopping through relationships shows that he just wasn’t ready for any long-term commitment like a marriage that he claims throughout the show.

“Scott just seems to be a stepping stone that people go on and eventually move past.” (sic)

Scott and Kourtney were married for a turbulent 10 years, with much of their marital highs and lows documented on the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality show.

The pair also welcomed their children together during their relationship, Reign, eight, Penelope, 10, and Mason, 13.

Kourtney and Scott officially split in 2015 and in 2017 he started his relationship with young Sofia.

At the time, Scott was 34 while Sofia was just 19, an age gap singing icon Lionel was reportedly not too pleased about, but the couple endured regardless.

The A-list pairing officially called it quits in mid-2020 with Scott later claiming on Keeping Up With The Kardashians that Sofia had given him an ultimatum, hoping he would prioritise her over Kourtney.

He claimed on the show: “She was like, ‘I don’t want to share you as a boyfriend with Kourtney.’ And then she literally said with an ultimatum, ‘You have to choose me or Kourtney.’

“I was like, ‘But Kourtney is Kourtney and my kids – it’s a unit. How could you even want that for me?’ It just became like, an impossible relationship to keep carrying on with.”

A few months later, in early 2021, Sofia started dating Elliot and the pair got engaged in April last year.

Sofia has since converted from Christianity to Judaism, Elliot’s religion, in the run-up to their wedding, revealing on April 4 that she had officially completed her conversion saying it was “one of the greatest experiences of my life” on Instagram.
