Simon Cowell flaunts slim figure as he stocks up on groceries to self-isolate with family amid coronavirus

Simon Cowell has flaunted his impressive figure as he stocked up on food ready for lockdown with his family in Malibu, California amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The 60 year old television personality, who recently reacted to This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield coming out as gay, looked happy and relaxed as he pushed a trolley down the street on 23 March, amid the global health crisis.

Sporting a pale blue ribbed long-sleeved top with white shorts, Simon appeared in good spirits as he smiled while holding his wallet in one hand.

He paired the look with some slip-on brown loafers and completed the full ensemble with some black sunglasses to block the intense sunlight.

The former X Factor judge continued to show off his impressive weight loss with his casual look as he lost over two stone last year after following an intense workout regime.

The Britain's Got Talent judge, whose show recently got postponed as a result of covid-19's impact, could be seen pushing a green trolley filled with recycled bags stocked with food.

He appeared to be heading back to his car after picking out items that would be suitable to self-isolate with his partner Lauren Silverman, 42, and his six year old son Eric.

The music mogul's decision to hit the supermarket came after the governor of California instructed the public to stay at home to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

But Simon isn't the only one to stock up on essential items while the bug continues to sweep the globe as reality star Gemma Collins recently bought 28 rolls of toilet paper in the UK in preparation for it to hit her household.

The 39 year old took to her Instagram Stories to tell her 1.6 million followers that she had implemented "operation Covid-19" – a plan to stock up on home essentials in case she comes down with the sickness that's currently sweeping the nation.

Panning the camera onto one of her staff members, who had placed medical protective gloves on the car seat and could be seen cleaning her hands with hand sanitiser, the reality star told her fans: "I'm actually getting a bit worried myself."

Gemma explained: "I didn't want to get caught up in it all… We are off to get some food shopping.

"We're taking no risks. And I think the message I'm trying to get across here is everyone starts being sensible, doing what the government is saying… the gloves, the gel…

"So we're off to the supermarket to stock and yeah, operation Covid-19 is in full force."

The next clip she shared showed the interior of a Marks & Spencer's shop, where she was surrounded by several staff members as she said: "I'm now on shopping trolley number two," before asking: "How may toilet rolls have I got?"
