For the last decade, fans of Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond have followed along as she has shared her incredible recipes on her blog and her show “The Pioneer Woman.” Her cooking goes down on her family’s beautiful Oklahoma ranch, and the Food Network series has featured her children throughout the years, even more so in recent years as they have grown up. Drummond is mom to 24-year-old Alex, 21-year-old Paige, 18-year-old Bryce, 17-year-old Todd, and Drummond’s beloved “bonus son,” 18-year-old Jamar (via The Pioneer Woman).
The Drummond family recently celebrated a special occasion with Alex’s wedding to longtime love Mauricio Scott. A special episode of “The Pioneer Woman” let fans in on what it took to make a picture-perfect wedding happen on a previously uninhabited space on the ranch property. “It was such a meaningful, memorable night for our whole family, and I can’t wait to share it with Food Network viewers who have actually become like our extended family over the years,” Drummond said in a statement, per People.
Seeing the nuptials was emotional for longtime fans
Longtime fans of “The Pioneer Woman” remember meeting Alex Drummond as a teenage girl, so of course they had some big feelings when it came to seeing her wedding unfold. “Feel like I know this family after all these years & love they are letting us in on the big wedding of Alex & Mauricio,” one fan tweeted.
“Watching Pioneer Woman and her daughter’s getting married is making me sentimental. Congratulations to Alex and Mauricio,” another added. Even a seasoned wedding professional admitted it was heartwarming to watch. “I am a #weddingplanner & have planned more than 1,000 #weddings & here I am tearing up at the @thepioneerwoman episode of her daughter’s #wedding,” she wrote.
For fans who have followed the family’s journey, it was simply a beautiful full-circle moment for a familiar family, as another fan pointed out. “Am I crying watching Alex and Mauricio’s wedding? Yes, yes I am.😭🥰😍@thepioneerwoman, I’m the same age as Alex (I think) and I’ve grown up with your family…congrats to all!”
