With schools officially closed (except for the kids of key workers), thousands of parents face their first day of homeschooling tomorrow.
One mum has already been trying it out – but it seems everyone is a critic.
Candice Kennedy, from the U.S., found her son Ben’s journal giving his thoughts on her attempts at teaching him and he didn’t hold back.
Ben wrote: ‘It is not going good. My mom is getting stressed out. My mom is getting confused.
‘We took a break so my mom can figure this stuff out and I’m telling you it is not going good.’
But Candice saw the funny side, posting a picture of the entry on Facebook.
Her caption said: ‘This is Ben’s journal entry from Monday about our first ‘homed school’ day.
‘That last sentence #WVNTI #imgettinthehangofitnow #maybe #kidsseeeverything #8yearoldcalledmeout.’
The post quickly went viral with over 268,000 shares and over 40,000 likes.
To make her feel better, other mums shared that it wasn’t exactly straightforward for them either.
One said: ‘That is what my kids will say about me! They don’t have a filter and will tell grams! Lmfao.’
Another added: ‘Lol! I’m sure so relatable for a lot of parents/kids right now! LOL!’
‘The whole thing is spot on !!!!! I am stressed and I am confused and it isn’t going good!!! I love this so much!’ another parent laughed.
Elsewhere, another mum has got homeschooling down though, using her routine to trick her kids into learning and doing chores.
