Coronavirus has impacted our lives more than we could have ever expected, including the way we buy our clothes.
With the closure of shops and changes in level of demand, this has had a massive knock on effect on the fashion supply chain.
High street retailers have cancelled more than $2 billion worth of orders and 982 million pieces of clothing meant to be for sale on your local high street.
This is now leaving over a million factory workers in Bangladesh out of work and factories with thousands of unsellable items resulting with them ending in landfill.
This shopping trick can get you up to 75% off your favourite fashion brands
Marks and Spencer have a special 50% sale and it includes women's, lingerie, childrenswear and menswear
Retail app Mallzee and SAJIDA Foundation are attempting to rescue this current crisis and have introduced a clever initiative called Lost Stock.
Shoppers can buy a £35 box of clothes worth £70 from some of your favourite retailers such as Topshop, Gap and New Look.
Each box contains at least three items so it's fantastic value for money.
You simply fill in a questionnaire specifying your particular taste in colour palette, silhouette and print and your size in clothing and you’ve got yourself some brand new clothes for half the price and in aid of a good cause.
Each box sold will support a garment worker and their family with their food and hygiene needs for a week – and all profits will go straight to those worst affected.
Lost Stock are aiming to help 5000 families in May and 100,000 by the end of 2020.

Cally Russell, Mallzee CEO, said; "With no safety net available for some of the poorest workers in the fashion supply chain we couldn't sit back and do nothing – leaving families to starve and new clothing heading to landfill.
"Covid-19 is a health and economic crisis in the UK but it's going to be a humanitarian crisis in countries like Bangladesh unless support is provided. With the Lost Stock approach consumers get a great deal and are also helping at the same time.”
So all you have to do is buy a box here at £35 and you’ve not only got a summer wardrobe update for yourself but you will have helped a family in need during this COVID-19 Pandemic.
