Today’s horoscope kicks off with a lunar transition as the Cancer New Moon enters into Leo the Lion. This is something of an unusual combination, according to astrologers, as it sees the fiery sign of Leo interact with the Sun in Cancer – a Water sign. Leo is the fifth sign of the Zodiac and is among the bravest and most boisterous energies out there.
But an abundance of this presence in your life can push you down the path towards arrogance and laziness.
When you put yourself at the centre of everything that goes on around you, you run the risk of being seen as self-centred and just a bit too confident for your own good.
Today, as is often the case with Leo, you will find safety when showered with the attention of others.
Leo can be very theatrical and prone to hog the spotlight.
You are consequently seeking out admiration and applause – whatever the cost may be.
Unfortunately, the astrologers behind Astro-Seek.com believe this could lead to suffering.
When people don’t give you the attention you think you deserve, slights tend to hurt more than usual.
Criticism cuts deep and your inability to deal with negativity is all the more evident.
Keep this in mind and learn to deal with criticism in a constructive and healing way.
Astrology: People want to relate to horoscopes says Vyse
Accepting feedback from your peers is often the first step towards success and fulfilment.
According to astrologer Debra Silverman of Astrology Answers, the Leo-Cancer combination is a peculiar one today.
On the one hand, the Cancer influence is very sensitive and prone to want to stay home.
Leo, of course, is the exact opposite of this relaxed mood and wants to leave home and head directly where everyone else is.
When the two forces clash today, there is an internal conflict about what it is that you want to do with yourself.
Ms Silverman said: “When you have those two things in your chart, it’s like having one foot on the gas and one foot on the break and you’re trying to figure it out.
“And that’s what creates stagnation. So during Sunday and Monday, while the Moon is in Leo, it’s asking us to get bold.”
Because the Moon is not the only celestial body venturing through the Lion today.
The lunar orb is joined by Mars and Venus both amplifying the boisterous energy.
According to Ms Silverman, this is known as a Stellium in Leo.
She said: “And they’re all opposite Saturn in Aquarius and they’re Squaring Uranus in Taurus.”
All of this combined creates a very palpable conflict between Fire and Water.
