Khabib brands Conor McGregor ‘old prostitute’ after Irishman tries to join UFC rival’s Instagram Live – The Sun

KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV branded Conor McGregor an "old prostitute" after the Russian's UFC rival asked to join his Instagram live session.

Lightweight champion Nurmagomedov appeared to confirm this week that he would not be able to defend his belt against Tony Ferguson on April 18 as he returned home to Russia amid the coronavirus and would not be able to travel back to fight.

But explaining his decision online to ESPN reporter Brett Okamoto, McGregor – who was submitted by Nurmagomedov in October 2018 – asked to join the Instagram session.

And nemesis Khabib slammed: "You know what I feel? He look like an old prostitute who wants attention.

"Like old prostitute that wants attention, his time is done."

It came after McGregor – who called for a nationwide lockdown in Ireland with air travel banned – accused Nurmagomedov of "chickening out" against Ferguson with their fight cancelled for a FIFTH time.

And despite self-isolating in his Dublin home, the 31-year-old insisted he is still in fighting shape after Ferguson called out the southpaw.

McGregor tweeted: "I am in shape to fight right now! At the beginning of all this, I said to myself – I’m happy I don’t have an official fight booked.

"If I did, I would have consumed all the incorrect data to support me taking part in the bout, and I would have followed through, competed. And won.

"The fact of this matter is, both Tony and Khabib where engaged in a game of chicken here towards the fight bell.

With Khabib chickening out first. Making it 3-2 in pullouts in Tony’s favour. Khab scurried out of the U.S to home, and amid the crisis. Very high risk.

"Congrats Tony."

Nurmagomedov was set to defend his 155lb crown in Brooklyn, but after the New York's athletic commission banned combat sport the UFC were left scrambling to find a last-gasp replacement location.

With no venue yet confirmed, the 31-year-old asked why he is still expected to fight, but made a U-turn by telling the promotion if they confirm a location, then he will compete.

Nurmagomedov said: "Right now, if they give me location and I can come out from Russia and I can go to any country.

"US, Abu Dhabi, doesn’t matter. I’m going to fight, 100 per cent. Just give me location. Every day, I send Dana White a message. ‘Hey, where’s my location.’ This is not my mistake.

"Too many crazy stuff, too many questions and I don’t have answer. I understand people are upset because this fight, this is like a dream fight for fans. This is my dream fight.

"I lose money, I lose so much money. Nobody lose like I lose. Nobody. I lose so much things. I want to fight."
