Brits across the country are getting ready to enjoy some time off work for the May bank holiday. The date was due to be marked on May 4, but instead was pushed back until this Friday to coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE Day.
While we now must stay at home to mark the historic date, many Britons up and down the country will honour our brave heroes who lost their lives in World War Two, and celebrate those survivors.
Families are advised to have their own garden parties, sup champagne and scoff delicious afternoon tea treats.
But for many, this could mean a quick dash to the shops on the cards this bank holiday.
