Love Island bosses eyeing up stunning actress with mum who appeared in Corrie

Love Island is set to welcome a fresh face with an impressive showbiz career to the famous villa for the latest series of the show.

Molly Marsh, the daughter of soap star Janet Marsh, is set to heat up the upcoming series of the hit ITV2 show, scheduled to return to our screens on June 5.

The 24-year-old panto performer and social media influencer caught the attention of telly bosses during her visit to the winter Love Island villa earlier this year.

An insider revealed to The Sun: "Molly was scouted after visiting the villa in South Africa earlier this year.

"She was on the tour as an invited guest when she caught the eyes of producers. Molly made it clear she would love to be a part of Love Island, and she was told to audition.

“After going through the process, she's now a shoo-in to fly to Mallorca later this month. She is a star on the rise and comes from a showbiz family—her mum Janet even had small roles on Coronation Street and Still Open All Hours."

With a successful theater career under her belt, including notable roles in the national tours of Oliver! and Sleeping Beauty, Molly is no stranger to the spotlight.

Her captivating performances have earned her a loyal following of over 25,000 on Instagram, where she tantalizingly shared posts about her recent adventures touring the Love Island villa.

The source also reported that Love Island producers have whittled down the thousands of hopefuls to a select group of 25, with the final lineup set to be announced shortly.

The dating show's last series, hosted in South Africa, saw the charismatic Maya Jama taking the reins and winning over fans everywhere.

Maya, 28, took over from Laura Whitmore, 38, and was a resounding hit.

As the excitement builds for the summer series, the Mallorca villa is preparing to welcome the chosen contestants who are eagerly anticipating their Love Island journey.

Since Love Island was revived in 2015 it has helped its winners find love, fame and fortune following their success on the show.

It has also been a ratings smash for ITV2 but producers need to plot a return to form after disappointing viewing figures for the latest winter series.
