Love Island 2018 runner-up Laura Anderson, 32, who has recently rekindled her romance with former Another Level singer Dane Bowers, 41, has revealed the behind-the-scenes secrets from the show.
The beauty revealed how eagle-eyed viewers should keep an eye on the door in the kitchen because it often means that “drama” is brewing.
Speaking to Closer, she said: “It’s a two-way larder. They lock it most of the time, but it’s also a sneaky exit door where producers would ‘pull you’ if they wanted to speak to you.”
“If you see someone coming out of ‘the larder’ there’s probably drama ahead!”
The glamorous blonde, who has recently given a tour of her gorgeous home in Dubai with Dane after re-locating from Scotland, also revealed how the islanders have segregated lunches to keep the drama on camera.
Laura also explained how the cameramen have a break at lunchtime which means the islanders are permitted some “downtime” but are warned that they cannot talk about anything “interesting”.
She continued: “If you’re in a new couple or arguing with somebody they keep you separate because they always want things to progress in front of the camera.”
The former air hostess also explained how the islanders were permitted “two pre-poured wines in the evening”.
Laura, who was coupled up with Wes Nelson on the show in 2018, told how they were sometimes given “one or two” bottles of Prosecco between the entire group.
However, she claimed that producers would be watching carefully to make sure contestants did not take a sip from a fellow islander’s glass.
Laura also explained how contestants do get a break from flirting and posing around the pool with designated “down days”, adding: “One group would go to the holding villa where we’d take off our mics and laze around the pool with our chaperones.”
She also revealed how the group were treated to "amazing takeaways" on their days off.
Love Island 2020 runner-up Siânnise Fudge and her beau Luke Trotman starred on the Winter Love Island series which was set in South Africa.
The pair have since opened up on their experience of the hideaway at the villa which gives couples the chance to spend a romantic night away from their fellow islanders.
Speaking to The Sun, Luke said: "Yeah, it's like silent and then camera, camera, camera, camera and then this red bed with loads of sex toys on it.
