Love Islands Megan Barton-Hanson goes blonde for summer and debuts wispy fringe

While the rest of the celeb world scrambles to get this season’s must-have hairstyle, the bob, Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson has decided to extend her lengths with the help of some very long hair extensions.

The 28 year old took to Instagram yesterday to share the results of her time in the hair salon, saying that she also used the appointment to go lighter for summer. It’s also clear from her after snap that she’s had a trendy fringe cut in, to break up the long layers in her hair.

“She’s going blonde, baby!” Megan captioned the series of Instagram Story videos, tagging in her go-to hairstylist Hadley Yates – who also does the hair of fellow blonde, Vogue Williams.

It’s clear Megan has opted for quite the dramatic colour transformation, since she came in with dark bronde hair and left with bleach blonde ends and ashy, darker blonde roots. We wonder if she was inspired by Kim Kardashian, who just unveiled lighter lengths herself after experimenting with bleach.

This isn’t the first time that Megan has transformed her look with a different hair colour. A few months ago, the star surprised fans when she showed off a peachy pink hue on her Instagram grid.

Her hairstylistEdmund Bossmanuploaded his own image of the star on his Instagram, but failed to let the fans in on whether the colour is the result of a wig or a real life colour change. He did, however, credit himself for the styling and colour, so it could just be that Megan went for a real (but temporary) wash of pastel.

Either way, fans have been keen to urge Megan to make the colourful look permanent…

“Defo your colour!!” one fan commented eagerly on her post, while another said: “You should keep this colour.”

Megan seems to suit just about any colour of hairstyle she tries, but she’s certainly inspiring us to book in for a summer blonde transformation of our own!
