Pret-A-Manger giving NHS staff free hot drinks to say thank you amid Coronavirus outbreak

Pret-A-Manger has announced they are giving NHS staff free hot drinks, as well as slashing prices on all menu items.

The popular high street chain made the announcement on Instagram on Wednesday morning and thanked all of the work efforts being made to deal with the virus pandemic.

Posting to their 148,000 followers, Pret wrote: "This one is on us," followed by a green heart.

Pret penned: "Dear NHS workers, your hot drinks are on the house from today, and we'll take 50% off everything else."

They continued: "Thank you for everything you are doing. We look forward to serving you. With love, Everyone at Pret."

As a result of the post, people rapidly applauded the chain for their kindness.
