The Spotify music streaming service has suffered an outage across the UK, according to the DownDetector website.
The site which tracks user reports of problems across various platforms starting seeing problems at 11.30am on Friday, July 10.
Areas worst affected by the outage appear to be London and Dublin, with users in Manchester and Newcastle also reporting problems. Parts of Europe, specifically the Netherlands and Germany are also affected.
Those affected are reporting that the app is simply failing to open and crashes immediately.
‘Spotify and Tinder are down. What else am I supposed to do to entertain myself?’ lamented one user on the DownDetector comments section.
Other affected users took to Twitter to vent their frustration.
Spotify hasn’t officially commented on the outage, but the music service has been busy in recent weeks.
It’s firming up its podcast offering and recently launched a new type of subscription package. Called ‘Duo’ it allows a couple to split the cost of a Spotify Premium subscription between them.
