Wrestling legend Buff Bagwell shows off removed CALF IMPLANTS after they nearly caused him to have legs amputated

BUFF BAGWELL has shared a snap of the calf implants that his body rejected and nearly caused him to have his legs amputated.

The star made his professional wrestling debut in 1990 before signing for WCW in 1991.

He stayed with the company until 2001, when it was taken over by WWE.

Bagwell was part of New World Order (nWo) during his time in WCW, as well as one half of The American Males alongside Scotty Riggs.

He was also part of tag-team Totally Buffed alongside Lex Luger.

The American, real name Marcus Bagwell and now aged 52, lasted just ONE match in WWE.

In 2001, Bagwell lost to Booker T in the WCW Championship match in the summer of 2001.

He was promptly released by WWE and moved on to other independent wrestling companies, such as TNA.

However, Bagwell still remained a big favourite with fans due to his wacky antics – including his infamous calf implants.

He had them installed back in his wrestling heyday – but he was forced to get them removed when they became infected.

But all of these years later it seems that he decided to keep them, as he posted a photo of them and captioned it with: “In case you were wondering what calf implants looked like.”

His former WCW boss Eric Bischoff discussed the incident on his 83 Weeks podcast, saying: “I remember when it happened, just the ribbing.

“I mean, I don’t know how Dave Meltzer or anybody else hadn’t heard about this because the entire roster was laughing and talking about it.

“It took a long time for Marcus to live that down, a long time. Nobody even tried to hide the fact that they were having a great time at Bagwell’s expense by laughing and joking about this.

“I do remember it, the ribbing he took, I can only imagine how he felt coming back.

“I think the only reason he was able to come back and work his way through it is because he was so vain he didn’t care.

“He probably felt at the time that having massive calves was one of the most important things in his life.

“Maybe the reason he wore long tights is because he felt insecure about his minuscule calves, I don’t know.”
