EastEnders is set to do battle with Coronation Street and Emmerdale once again following its historic win at the British Soap Awards.
The BBC One soap picked up four wins, all viewer-voted categories, including the coveted Best Soap for the first time in eight years, after a truly remarkable 12 months for the show.
Coronation Street, meanwhile, won six awards overall, making it a very successful night for the ITV soap too.
Emmerdale scooped Outstanding Achievement, which was awarded to Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle.
But there are more awards ceremonies to come, with all three soaps will go head-to-head once again at the TRIC Awards in June in a number of categories voted for by the public.
TRIC, which stands for the Television and Radio Industries Club, will be celebrating 54 years of the TRIC Awards, and recognising the very best TV, radio and online shows, as well as Britain’s most-loved stars and talent.
