Friends’ Matthew Perry makes hilarious reference to sitcom as he admits to trying out nude baking

MATTHEW Perry made a hilarious reference to beloved sitcom Friends as he admitted to trying out nude baking on Instagram yesterday.

The TV star recently had his 6.6milllion followers chuckling as he added a twist to one of his character Chandler Bing's famous quotes amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The 50-year-old comedic actor was at it again as he shared a photo of some freshly baked cookies and joked that he wasn't "wearing any pants" – a twist on one of his co-star Matt LeBlanc's famous lines.

"I made these by the way," he wrote. "Also I’m not wearing any pants #gettingreadyforsomeseriousnudeeating".

Die-hard Friends will no doubt get Perry's "pants" joke, which referenced the sitcom's episode titled "The One Where No One's Ready".

In the episode, Ross desperately tries to get his pals ready for a black tie event at the museum he works at.

Things go from bad to worse when Chandler admits to stealing Joey's underwear, which leads the roommates to clash over personal belongings.

Acting as a mediator Ross asks: "Okay, now hold on. Joey, why can't you just wear the underwear you're wearing now?"

To which Joey responds: "Because, I'm not wearing any underwear now."

As things hilariously escalate between the two, Joey arrives into Monica's apartment wearing all of Chandler's clothes and delivers one of the show's most iconic lines.

Mocking Chandler, Joey says: "Look at me – I'm Chandler! Could I *be* wearing any more clothes? Maybe if I wasn't going commando!"

Fans picked up on the reference and commented under the post in their droves.

One follower penned: "Could I be wearing any more pants".

"I’m wearing everything you own," another posted in reference to the episode.

While others joked about Chandler and Joey's "naked Thursday" ritual.

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait to see Matthew take on the role again as the Friends reunion had to be postponed for 2021.

The Sun exclusively reported the reunion we've all been waiting for isn’t likely to happen now until 2021 as the outbreak remains a concern and the cast – Matthew, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer – have packed schedules for the rest of the year.

An insider revealed: “It looks like the reunion might have to be scheduled for next year now.

“It was difficult enough getting everyone on board for filming in March and it will be incredibly hard to get them all together at the same time again.

The insider continued: "If the coronavirus restrictions continue until May and June, which is looking very likely at this point, there will be no choice but to postpone until next year because it's proving impossible to find dates when they're all free this year.

"Everyone knows how excited the fans are but realistically it won’t be filmed or airing until 2021 now.”

The show was scheduled to be produced at the now-iconic soundstage on the Warner Brothers studio lot in Los Angeles where the famous series originally taped.

Fans were elated when the whole cast announced on February 21 they would join the unscripted schedule.

The show is set to be a part of the big launch for HBO’s new streaming service.

Friends creators Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman and David Crane are also poised to join the group-of-six when the show is back up and running.

Since the deadly coronavirus outbreak was declared a pandemic, production has shut down or delayed for most of Hollywood including various movies, TV shows, concerts, festivals and more.
