Harry’s Heroes branded ‘best part of lockdown’ as England legends beat Germany

Harry’s Heroes: Euro Having A Laugh viewers were left delighted as the England legends beat Germany in a tense grudge match.

The team, managed by Harry Redknapp, were victorious as they took on their German rivals – giving us all a much-needed football fix.

The final episode of the ITV series saw the I’m A Celebrity winner’s club – including David Seaman, Paul Merson and Teddy Sheringham – preparing for their eagerly-anticipated match.

Instead of a normal training session, they spent their time going bobsledding and recalling their best moments and low points, both on and off the pitch.

But it seemed to go down a storm, with Lee Hendrie scoring the winning goal in the last few minutes of the game.

Side note: It’s still coming home, huns…

And the whole thing left fans watching on from home more than a little emotional.

Flocking to Twitter, one posted: ‘#HarrysHeroes a very enjoyable programme for the last three nights including some poignant stories.  Well done #Ingerland.’
