How old is Katie Price’s son Harvey Price and who’s his dad Dwight Yorke? – The Sun

HARVEY Price is best known as the eldest child of Katie Price.

The teenager, who has Prader-Willi syndrome, has made numerous television appearances with the former glamour model – but how old is he and who is his dad?

How old is Harvey Price and who are his siblings?

Harvey Price celebrated his 18th birthday in coronavirus lockdown.

In a post on Instagram, his TV star mum wrote: "You make me so proud every day."

She added: "You’ve defied all the odds and proven that you will not let your disabilities stop you. ⁣
"They said you’d never be able to read, but you love reading to your younger brothers and sisters.⁣"

As well as having Prader-Willi syndrome, he is also partially blind and on the autistic spectrum.

He has four half-siblings from her former marriages to Peter Andre and Kieran Hayler.

These include, Junior, born in 2005, and Princess, born in 2007, Jett, born in 2013, and Bunny, born in 2014.

Does Harvey have an Instagram account?

Yes, Harvey does have an Instagram – @mrharveyprice.

He currently has an impressive 104,000 followers.

When he was 16, he was hounded online after sharing a drawing of Katie on the Gatwick Express, and was the subject of cruel trolling.

His mum was landed in hot water after many felt she should have deleted the account to protect her son.

Is Katie Price starting a clothing brand named after Harvey?

Yes, in February 2019, Katie revealed that she is planning to launch a boys' clothing range named after Harvey.

Sharing a picture of the Junior + Jett logo on the Princess and Bunny Instagram page, Katie wrote: "@juniorandjett.co.uk Follow for my Boys clothing range also launching in April @mrharveyprice is also coming soon!

"Thanks for the support everyone means a lot @officialkatieprice."

Who is Harvey's dad Dwight Yorke?

Former football pro Dwight Yorke is the biological father of Harvey Price.

After a brief relationship with Katie in 2001, their son was born.

Harvey was diagnosed with blindness and Prader-Willi syndrome, and he is also on the autistic spectrum.

The ex-Aston Villa and Manchester United forward initially denied Harvey was his, but the claims were proven wrong with a DNA test.

Katie has raised their son alone, and has previously publicly blasted him for not being a father figure – revealing that he hadn't seen him for ten years.

What's Prader-Willi syndrome?

Harvey has Prader-Willi syndrome, the most common genetic cause of morbid obesity in children.

Those who have it feel constantly hungry, and many people with the condition also experience intellectual impairment and dysfunctional behavioural patterns.

Those affected may also have physical symptoms, such as physical weakness, a narrow forehead, small hands and feet, and a prominent nasal bridge.

A high pain threshold and skin picking problem are other symptoms commonly associated with the syndrome.

Children who are diagnosed may also experience delayed puberty and some may not ever fully develop into adults.

Infertility is extremely common, because of their sexual organs not developing normally.

It cannot be cured, but it can be controlled through treatments such as growth hormone injections and educational training.

What petition did Katie and Harvey Price start and when does it go to Parliament?

In January 2019, it was revealed that Parliament backed Katie's efforts to criminalising online hate.

Committee chair Helen Jones MP said: "The law on online abuse is not fit for purpose and it is truly shameful that disabled people have been forced off social media while their abusers face no consequences.

"There is no excuse for the continued failure to make online platforms as safe for disabled people. Self-regulation has failed disabled people and the law must change to ensure more lives are not destroyed."

It all started when Katie launched a government petition in March 2017 in an effort to end social media trolling.

On Loose Women in January 2018, she announced that it would be discussed in the House of Commons.

After her petition earned over 221,000 signatures last year, the star explained: “On the 6th February, me, my mum and Harvey are now going to the Parliament Select Committee to now discuss it, and hopefully, Pricey here can change the law!”

She added: “I have to go along and give my experience about Harvey. The reason I started it is because – not just because of him, it will help other people – he was getting trolled so much about his colour, his size, his condition. And although I had people arrested and everything, the police can’t take it any further because there’s nothing in place.”

Katie wants a register of offenders to be created so they can be named and shamed

In February 2018, she was praised by Peston On Sunday viewers for demanding a change in the law after she appeared on the current affairs programme to discuss stricter rules for online bullying.

The petition was discussed in Parliament that month, and the government responded: "The issue of keeping people safe online is a top priority for this Government."

Although they deemed the 2014 Social Media and Criminal Offences law  "generally appropriate," a few revisions were made.

This included new sections on Hate crime and Vulnerable and intimidated witnesses.
