Jennifer Newman: What you didn’t know about Grant Imahara’s fiancée

Grant Imahara, perhaps best known for hosting MythBusters and Netflix’s White Rabbit Project, passed away on July 13, 2020, following a brain aneurysm, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He was 49. While he rose to fame, in part, thanks to his hosting abilities, Imahara was actually a roboticist and electrical engineer. In addition to getting screen time on MythBusters, he also did quite a bit of work behind the scenes, maneuvering robots for many Hollywood blockbusters, including a couple Matrix films and the Star Wars prequels, per THR

Imahara worked for George Lucas’ Lucasfilm for quite some time, ultimately becoming “chief model maker, specializing in animatronics,” per THR. In fact, IMDb went so far as to call Imahara an “electronics wizard” thanks to his prowess. Needless to say, all of his hard work left Imahara with a considerable net worth.

While Imahara is grieved by the public and his cast and crew members, he is also poignantly remembered by his fiancée, Jennifer Newman, who took to Twitter to mourn the loss of her fiancé, writing, “I haven’t found the words. I don’t know if I’ll be able to. I lost a part of my heart and soul today. He was so generous and kind, so endlessly sweet and so loved by his incredible friends. I feel so lucky to have known him, to have loved & been loved by him. I love you, honey.”

In light of this tragic loss, here’s what we know about Grant Imahara’s fiancée, Jennifer Newman.
