Kate Garraway’s son Billy celebrated his 11th birthday at the weekend with a party in his garden of his family home. He was surrounded by his friends to party in a large tent while the Good Morning Britain presenter’s I’m A Celebrity colleague Roman Kemp made an appearance too. Speaking about the celebration on the ITV breakfast show this morning, Kate explained Billy was “overwhelmed” by the surprise but it was strange without husband Derek.

She told host Ben Shephard: “It’s like the queen I told him, with all the challenges with mixing, he’s having four birthdays, the first was with his friends on Saturday.

“Global [Radio] provided a cake delivered by Roman and Martin Kemp.”

Sharing details, Kate continued: “We had a fantastic camp out in the garden in a huge tent which allowed them [the kids] to be separate.

“Billy was completely overwhelmed.
