Aw, nothing like taking someone hostage in the aftermath of your wedding in Emmerdale, right Kim Tate (Claire King)?
The hostage in question is Alex – Dawn’s (Olivia Bromley) ex and Clemmie and Lucas’ father.
He’s back next week being an annoying fly (aren’t all flies annoying?) in everyone’s ears and yes, you guessed it – he wants money.
Determined to protect her family, Kim ends up taking Alex hostage to really show that she isn’t someone to be messed with.
God, we’ve missed this.
At the start of the week, Billy (Jay Kontzle) and Dawn discover the money from Harriet’s (Katherine Dow Blyton) will isn’t enough to keep their house.
They agree to form a plan to buy Woodbine for themselves, but then Alex arrives and threatens to take Clemmie away if he doesn’t get Harriet’s money.
Bit greedy, but whatever.
As Harriet’s funeral gets underway, Dawn feels anxious about Alex’s threats and wonders if telling Clemmie that everything will be alright may end up being a lie.
Elsewhere, when Will (Dean Andrews) approaches Alex, he manhandles him, but the drug user doesn’t really care.
Convinced he’s got away scot-free; Alex falls for Kim’s trick and is bundled into the boot of her car.
Having tied Alex up in a stable outside Home Farm, Kim and Will begin to negotiate a cheaper pay off.
But will they succeed?
