Love Is Blind on Netflix was pretty much the only thing many people were talking about on social media just a few weeks ago.
The dating show put contestants into pods where they had to go on dates without being able to physically see one another, then fall in love within a week, and get married a mere 30 days later.
Now with the majority self-isolating due to Coronavirus, two clever men have reinvented the dating game and rebranded it ‘Love Is Quarantine’.

Based in New York so far, creatives Thi Lam and Rance Nix have been pairing off singletons in the Big Apple, who are all social distancing, and putting them on dates.
Following the same concept as the Netflix series, the daters are not allowed to see each other and must only chat via their phones.
After two days in isolation, Thi and Rance set up the virtual LGBTQAI+ friendly game using Google Sheets with people in their hundreds sending in their name, a brief bio and a phone number.
The duo have then been pairing up couples in the pods, 24 contestants in 12 pods and they are all swapped around.
Each night is a new season and according to their Instagram profile which is set up in real time for fans to follow along they are recruiting for season three aka day three.
The Google Sheets has also been set up to include a fan page, where people can add comments as they find out from the contestants what is going on before, during and after their dates.
“We had over 50 people… watching an Excel sheet. Which is really funny,” Thi told the New York Post.
Unsure of how long it will go on for he added: “We will end this when we get our jobs back.”
Many people so far are seeing it as a welcome distraction while stuck indoors with not much else for entertainment: “This is genuinely organic and funny and stupid and kind of what we need right now as a society.”
The duo also ask daters to film themselves before, during and after the date which they are planning to compile into a film and release as a project.

They told Decider: “Being two extroverts, we were going a little stir crazy around the apartment thinking what can we do. Then Thi said, how about we make our own version of the show because being quarantined in an apartment is like being in a pod.
Thi added: “We’ll text random people beforehand asking if they’re available. This is very quick, so if they don’t reply, they’re passed and we go to someone else. Whoever replies, if they’re bubbly and entertaining and down for it, we put them in a pod.”
You can follow along each night via their ‘Love Is Quarantine’ Instagram page and the Google Sheets, it starts like from 7.30pm EST which is 11.30pm GMT time.
