Love Island fans have been left disappointed as they saw Millie Court forgive Liam Reardon on Tuesday 3 August's episode.

Millie, 24, was left broken hearted as 21 year old Liam's antics in Casa Amor were exposed last week.

Since his "connection" with Lillie Hanyes was unveiled to Millie and the rest of the shocked Islanders, Liam has been taking steps to try and win back blonde beauty Millie.

With the help of fellow Islander Jake Cornish, the Welsh lad penned a note and left it in Millie's bed.

The message read: "I may not be sticking in your back in bed, but you're always stuck in my head. Xx".

Later, Liam sent Millie and picture of the pair during happier times and wrote "what a beautiful voo", after the lads said it rhymed with 'Millie Moo'.

But, the gestures fell flat as the fashion buyer administrator insisted Liam would need to do more to win her back.

In another attempt to win Millie's heart the bricklayer got up on the stage placed in the villa for Mabel's performance and called her his "soulmate" in a heartfelt speech.

And it appears the gesture helped to soften Millie's icy exterior as she told Liam she is willing to take "baby steps" to patch up their romance.

As the pair sat on the swings, Millie told Liam: "We'll take it slow, baby steps."

Liam replied: "I'm happy with baby steps as long as I know the steps."

Referring to Liam's speech, Millie said: "One step, that was. Maybe one and a half that was."

Later in the episode, the Islanders were called to the firepit for a recoupling as it was announced the girls will choose who they wanted to pair with.

And Millie chose to couple up with Liam. In her speech, she branded Liam's Casa Amor behaviour as "disrespectful" but said his "questionable" gestures had "made her smile".

She then insisted: "But, it's going to take more than just a speech, it's going to be a slow journey to go back to what we had."

Fans had mixed reactions to their reunion on Twitter as son suggested Millie has taken Liam back too soon.
