Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury's full relationship timeline

LOVE Island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are set to celebrate their first anniversary this month after meeting on 2019's dating show.

The couple's relationship has been going from strength-to-strength since they left the Villa, where they finished in second place behind Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea.

Although they didn't win, their love story is by far the most successful to come out of last year's Love Island and are the only couple who are still together.

We take a look back on the year that was and look at all their dating highs and lows…

June 2019: Molly-Mae and Tommy meet on Love Island

Tommy entered the Villa alongside Curtis Pritchard as the show's first bombshells and initially fell head over heels with Lucie Donlan, while she was coupled up with Joe Garrett.

But the boxer's head was firmly turned when Molly-Mae entered the series in week two and their romance began.

The couple shared their first kiss within days and went horse-riding on their first official date.

July 2019: Tommy asks Molly-Mae to be his girlfriend

Although Maura Higgins briefly tried to woo Tommy her advances failed as the sports star asked Molly to be his girlfriend days after he returned back to the villa alone from Casa Amor.

With the help from his fellow Islanders and pal Curtis, Tommy asked the blonde bombshell to be his girlfriend, writing her a heartwarming note from her teddy, Ellie Belly.

The note read: "Dear Mummy. Daddy left me here in his best interests.

"He wanted me to tell you that you’re his everything. I’m going to leave it with Daddy. So…"

With the whole villa watching on, Tommy declared his feelings for Molly-Mae and the pair made it official.

Tommy said: "On a serious note, you know how much you mean to me and you’re the only girl for me.

"I only want to be with you. Therefore, I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend?"

August 2019: Speculation mounts that they had split

Despite being one of the strongest couples on the ITV2 show, they finished in second place behind Greg O'Shea and Amber Gill.

Yet, Molly-Mae and Tommy were rocked by speculation they had split once they jetted back to the UK following their stint on the reality series.

Rumours began swirling after fans noticed neither of them had used their social media accounts since flying back to the UK, following the end of Love Island 2019.

However, a representative for Molly-Mae denied the couple had broken up at the time, with the source insisting they are "very much still together".

What fans didn't know was that the professional boxer had rushed home to see his grandad, who was believed to have been in an unwell state, prompting him to leave Molly's side for a few days.

September 2019: Molly-Mae and Tommy move in together

The show's runners ups took their relationship to the next level in September and moved in together.

After initially moving into Molly-Mae's Manchester flat, the pair later bought a three-bedroom apartment in the Northern city.

At the time, the couple were spotted trying out sofas at a furniture shop in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

Tommy told The Sun Online about the next step: "We're both really happy. We've bought an apartment in Manchester and we're going to move in together.

"We're both extremely busy, but there to support each other too. It's amazing. We haven't said a cross word to each other, ever."

May 2020: Molly-Mae tells Tommy not to propose

Many fans speculated that Tommy would pop the question during their idyllic winter break to the Maldives, yet five months later Molly explained that she told her other half not to propose.

In a YouTube video posted to her channel last month, the reality TV star insisted that they are just "too young" to take that step.

She said: "Tommy would literally propose to me tomorrow if I would let him but I keep saying to him, 'No, let's just wait, let's just wait,' because I'm too young.

"It will happen one day, it's something we can look forward to together, so I just wanna leave it for another day.

"But marriage and kids are two things that will happen soon, hopefully. But, when I say soon I don't mean next week!"

June 2020: Molly-Mae and Tommy announce tragic news of puppy's death

Just days after welcoming their new puppy Mr Chai, they released a statement revealing the heartbreaking news that their dog had sadly passed away.

The couple released a 12-minute long video to Molly-Mae YouTube account, revealing Mr Chai's cause of death following at autopsy at the vets.

Molly-Mae broke down in tears this week as she spoke about the shock death of her puppy Mr Chai, saying: "He was our baby."

The 21-year-old was given the dog by boyfriend Tommy as a birthday present last week and explained he vomited on hearing the news while she was convinced it was a cruel prank.

Speaking in a YouTube video, she also hit out at people who accused them of having the pet shipped over from Russia to be a social media 'accessory'.

Explaining they paid for a fast-track autopsy, the star claimed: "Chai's skull wasn't fully developed. Part of his brain was exposed.

"In a tiny dog, any knock probably wasn't very helpful."

She added: "Whilst we completely understand everyone's opinions about being shipped over from Russia, what you need to understand is that is not what made him die."

Mr Chai became a social media sensation in his short life, quickly achieving 'influencer' status after 150,000 people followed the account set up for him on Instagram.
