Married at First Sight Australia has been airing since 2015, and the series is now coming to E4 in the UK. The reality TV show sees couples getting married after being matched by experts, having spent no time together. Express.co.uk has everything you need to know about where the couples are now.

Where are the couples now?

E4 will be airing season four of the series, which first aired in 2017, for the next five weeks.

The controversial and experimental season four sees 11 couples rise to the challenge, including one middle-aged couple.

The partners live under the same roof as their relationships are tested in all sorts of ways.

Relationship psychologist John Aiken, neuropsychotherapist Trisha Stratford and dating expert Mel Schilling will be matching the singletons.

The couples will marry, go on their honeymoon, live together and meet each other’s families before deciding if they want to stay together.

Sean Hollands and Susan Rowlings

Farmer Sean, who was 35 at the time, was paired with 37-year-old mining truck driver Susan Rowlings.

Having spent some time together the pair decided not to get married officially, and they are still separated.

Although things did not work out for them on the show, they remained friends and are with new partners.

In 2018 Susan gave birth to her first son, and Sean proposed to his new girlfriend.

Jonathan Troughton and Cheryl Maitland

Entrepreneur Jonathan, 30, was teamed up with Cheryl, a hair salon assistant who was 25.

Sadly the pair broke up before a final decision could be made, and they are still not together.

Cheryl then went on to form a relationship with plumber Dean Gibbs, who had watched her on the show.

Michael Tomic and Scarlett Cooper

Michael, from Perth, was partnered with aspiring author Scarlett, and they were both 30.

Again the couple decided to break up before making a final decision, and they are still separated.

The couple was caught up in a texting scandal as Scarlett said she had received texts from Jonathan Troughton.

Nadia Stamp and Anthony Manton

Flight attendant Nadia, 36, hit it off with racing broadcaster Anthony, 33, and the pair had a successful experience.

Their final decision was to get married at the end of the experience, but they are sadly no longer together.

The couples do not take part in a legally binding marriage, instead they meet at an altar of a commitment ceremony.

Their decision was one of the most shocking of the season, with Nadia revealing Anthony dumped her, telling hit.com.au: “He dropped me like a hotcake.”

Simon McQuillan and Alene Khatcherian

Business owner Simon also took a liking to registered nurse Alene, and they decided to get married.

However after the experience they came to the realisation it was not meant to be, and they separated.

Andy Hills and Vanessa Belvedere

Andy, 30, enjoyed his time with student Vanessa, 31, and they said “yes” to getting married.

However, like the couples before them, they decided it was not the best decision and they ended up separating.

Vanessa made the decision to dump Andy in an emotional break up, and she moved on, sharing photos of a new man on her social media.

Lauren Bran and Andrew Jones

Lauren, 33, met firefighter Andrew, 38, and fans thought things could have worked out between them.

Although sadly they decided to break up before the final decision and they remain separated.

Lauren was known as being the runaway bride after she ran out on Andrew in a dramatic episode.

John Robertson and Deborah Brosnan

Business owner John, 53, was partnered with ex-model Deborah, 53, and they found themselves in the spotlight for being the first middle-aged couple.

However fans were disappointed to see they broke up before a final decision could be made, and they are still separated.

He revealed to the Mail Online he has had no contact with Deborah after she rejected him.

Michelle Marsh and Jesse Konstantinoff

Commercial cleaner Michelle was paired with retailer Jesse, but they decided not to get married after the experiment.

Marsh and Konstantinoff, both 31, remain separated years after the season finished airing.

Jesse and Michelle have remained friends and they have been sharing selfies on Instagram.

Sharon Marsh and Nick Furphy

Experts paired business owner Sharon with carpenter Nick, and the pair seemed to hit it off from the outset.

They decided to go ahead with the marriage at the end of the experiment, but later decided to separate.

After the series, Sharon moved on and met another man, Julian Rosevear.

Cheryl Maitland and Andrew Jones

Hair salon assistant Cheryl, 25, was later partnered with firefighter Andrew, 38, as the final couple.

Sadly they broke up before the final decision could be made and they remain separated.

In an interview with the Mail Online, Andrew revealed he is experiencing PTSD following his appearance on the show.

He said there were a lot of trust issues, and he would not appear on a series like MAFS again.
