No Return viewers rage Sheridan Smith thriller 'is all over the place' as they call out ANOTHER plot hole in new episode

SHERIDAN Smith's latest TV drama has been criticised as "all over the place" after a recent controversial scene.

The much-loved actress, 40, plays troubled mum Kathy in four-part ITV show No Return, with the penultimate episode hitting screens on Monday.

No Return follows the Powell family and their holiday in Turkey as son Noah is suddenly arrested and jailed on a sex assault charge.

As the legal battle unfolded, parents Kathy and Martin, played by Michael Jibson, decided to head out for a boozy meal to chat through both the court case and their own marital struggles.

Sheridan's character proceeds to order a tuna salad washed down with copious amounts of wine.

The wine-fuelled display raised the eyebrows of No Return's viewers as, while the pair were enjoying dinner, they had left their daughter Jess unaccompanied in the hotel room.

Their move seemed particular bizarre considering their son's sticky situation.

One viewer flagged the apparent blunder as they took to Twitter to write: "Her sons in prison and she want to go out for a meal and drinks? Also leaving her daughter alone after what her sons been through."

Another then raged: "I would not be leaving my kid in an apartment alone after all the s**t they’ve already been through!!! 🤷‍♀️ #NoReturn."

A third sympathised with the youngster and put: "Awww bless her Jessica is the only redeemable character in this #noreturn," as another posted: "This show is too all over the place #noreturn."

Their comments came shortly before they spotted a much-loved comedian in a "hot" new role on the show.

Following the show's second episode, viewers again spotted another blunder as they hailed the drama "far fetched."

Viewers were quick to point out that mum Kathy and dad Martin did not once call the British Embassy for help.

Their dream trip took a shocking turn when teenager Noah accepted a seemingly innocent invitation to a beach party and then found himself in jail on a sex assault charge.

The family instead turned to legal representative Rico Karvalci played by Philp Arditti for advice – but fans are sceptical of the lawyer and believe he may have an ulterior motive.
