Princess Beatrice’s wedding could still go ahead but with one heartbreaking change

The Queen’s granddaughter Princess Beatrice is “reviewing” her wedding plans over the coronavirus pandemic, a spokeswoman for Buckingham Palace has said. But it seems, the ceremony will still go ahead but with one major change.

On May 29, she was due to marry Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, with the Queen hosting their reception at Buckingham Palace.

It was confirmed yesterday, the reception has been cancelled and they are currently considering government advice before deciding whether or not to hold a smaller ceremony.

During today’s instalment of Lorraine, the host asked Royal Editor Russell Myers for the latest update.

He said Princess Beatrice and the Palace are “still speaking about a small wedding, which may be just them [the bride and groom] and the vicar”.

Lorraine airs weekday mornings at 9am on ITV.
