TERESA Giudice’s estranged husband Joe continued to flirt with The Real Housewives of New Jersey star over social media after admitting he “failed” their marriage.
On Sunday, Teresa, 47, posted a red carpet photo from a charity event on Instagram.
Joe, 47, responded to the photo with fire and rose emojis.
The compliment came one day after Joe admitted over Instagram that he “failed” their marriage.
He captioned a collage of family photos from their recent trip to Italy: “No matter how much energy and time I devoted to trying it failed. I did my best and put all efforts into making this a great experience for my family.
“I did try to address issues in the relationship that bothered me throughout the years in return [the show] portrayed it as criticism! My key role was to always to be a great father and husband not the [villain].”
He ended the rant with: “Today I [see], I can’t allow others to keep lingering toxins and undesirable demands around me. I choose to have a solid foundation with strong and inspiring people around me in.”
On the RHONJ season finale, Teresa and their daughters Gia, 19, Gabriella, 16, Milania, 15, and Audriana, 11, visited Joe in Italy.
Joe was transferred to ICE detention center after serving a 41-month sentence for fraud in March 2018.
He was released from ICE that October and is currently living in his native Italy.
During the visit, Teresa told Joe she didn’t want to sleep in the same bed as him.
When she asked if he “was expecting” to, he responded, “I mean, we got 20 years in our marriage.”
Teresa asked to take things “slow.”
She explained: ”We haven’t been together in almost four years so it's kinda weird. I don't know. It's been a long time, you know? You need to slow it down."
Joe told Teresa while leaving the room: "Listen, by the end of this trip, things could change. Who the hell knows?"
After the trip, Teresa and Joe’s split after 20 years of marriage was announced.
Joe said the moment she refused to sleep with him was the moment he knew their relationship was over.
He wrote on Instagram: "My 'AHA moment!' That was my moment of insight. I felt rejected. This is the first time while filming a scene, I had severe anxiety and grief.
"I was locked up for four years, any human would have a psychological impact of prison life. This was the moment, I knew deep in my heart she was being difficult with me for a reason."
He continued: "My wife has never said no to sleeping with me. I had to walk away. I don’t have resentment against her (her emotions are justified). It was off guard, should have been private.”
Joe has flirted with Teresa on social media even though their marriage has been over for months.
On Valentine’s Day he wrote: “Thank you! For being a great mom and wonderful wife.”
