ITV tea-time favourite The Chase saw a new batch of players try and beat Anne tonight as three contestants successfully made it through to the Final Chase. However, one player failed to make it past her head-to-head tonight shortly after making an error which led fans to question how she had missed the “clue in the question”.
Peter, Gill, Kate and Mark were at the podium tonight to try and take a large sum of money home.
Contestant Mark was up first, wowing his fellow team members with his knowledge after getting nine questions correct in his cash builder.
His fantastic opener saw his fellow player Gill insist the rest of the team could “go home” after his efforts.
Going up against Anne, he decided against taking the high offer and wanted to get back to his team, which he did with ease.

Next up was Gill, who managed to secure £3,000 from her quick-fire round and stuck with the money she had earned.
She too made it through to the Final Chase and it was player Kate’s turn to face Anne in a bid to join the other players.
However, Kate left the host and ITV viewers watching at home after failing to get a seemingly simple answer incorrect.
The question posed asked: “Which of the following cocktails has ginger in?” as Bradley gave the pair three options to choose from.
The correct answer of Prince Harry was soon revealed, leading host Bradley to ask the player: “How did we miss that?”
Viewers were also baffled by her response, with one saying on Twitter: “The clue is in the question love!!! PRINCE HARRY IS GINGER #TheChase.”
Another commented: “#TheChase Obviously it is c because of his hair.”
“Ginger. Prince Harry. Made sense to me #thechase,” agreed a third viewer.

Another added: “Jesus – did she really not get the Ginger reference even after being told the answer?????? #thechase.”
“I thought they’d put Prince Harry there just as a joke because he has ginger hair #thechase,” shared a fifth.
Unfortunately, the error cost Kate and she was soon knocked out after she wasn’t able to stay ahead of The Chaser.
Last up to face Anne was Peter, who got through to the Final Chase after a series of lucky guesses, bringing back £1,000.

The contestants managed a respectable 18 steps ahead of Anne with Mark answering most of the questions correctly.
The team later won the £13,000 jackpot after Anne had a difficult run of questions in her last quick fire round.
Anne was quick to compliment the players, telling them: “I needed to get three more, there were two extra steps there beside Mark and there was at least one pushback from Gill.”
As four new players will take on The Chaser tomorrow, will they manage to take home the money once more?
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
