The Chase’s Anne Hegerty leaves Roman Kemp red-faced in ’embarrassing’ phone in

The Chase star Anne Hegerty left Roman Kemp red-faced after a cringeworthy phone call from the quizzer made the radio DJ 'perish with embarrassment'.

The television quizmaster, 61, made a surprise appearance on 27-year-old Roman's radio show, but he had no idea it was her.

She simply told the DJ that she was "Anne from Watford" so he didn't realise it was The Chase star.

They set up Martin Kemp's son as she played his seemingly Mega Hard Super Quiz.

Anne stepped up to the challenge after only one person was able to complete all five rounds and if she won, Roman would face a forfeit.

Capital FM's official Twitter posted the cringeworthy clip with the caption:"Never forget the day Anne Hegerty made Roman Kemp perish in embarrassment" with three cringe-face emojis.

Roman said in the video: "I've got Anne from Watford on the phone, good morning Anne. Have you heard the quiz before?"

"I have yes, I do enjoy it," she confirmed, before revealing her true identity.

"OK, now…" Roman started, but then proceeded to ask her: "Anne what is it you do for a living?"

Anne said in the hilarious clip: "I'm a professional quizzer. I'm the Governess from The Chase…"

As they all fell into fits of laughter, with Roman completely flustered, she stated: "I wish I could [see Roman's face]."
