Our Yorkshire Farm abruptly ended last month after seven new episodes following the Owen family. There was confusion amongst fans about the remainder of the season, with some wondering if it would even air. But could there be a new season on Channel 5 in 2021?
Will there be a new Our Yorkshire Farm series in 2021?
Our Yorkshire Farm was airing weekly on Tuesday nights at 9pm on Channel 5 throughout April and May.
Fans were expecting eight episodes of season four, however there were only seven instalments.
This was caused by a reshuffle by Channel 5 to make room for their mini-series Anne Boleyn, however, Our Yorkshire Farm didn’t return the following week.
After a month off screens, now it seems more likely Channel 5 is moving ahead with another season.
Express.co.uk has all the details on the situation with Our Yorkshire Farm.
Despite not airing the last episode of season four, Channel 5 signed a two-year deal with the Owen family, meaning more are on the way.
This deal is broken down into 20 new episodes of the series, meaning at least another two seasons are on the horizon for Amanda Owen and her family.
Channel 5 and Amanda have not gone into details on how exactly the 20 episodes will be broken down, with the change in the season four schedule causing some confusion.
The show continues to be a massive success for the broadcaster, with the show consistently growing in popularity.
Back in March, ExaminerLive reported the show is currently filming which means a new series could air later this year.
Commenting on the success of the show, Channel 5 said: “The series, which first aired in 2018, has garnered immense popularity over the years for its heart-warming and refreshingly honest portrayal of family life in the countryside.
“Viewers and critics have praised Amanda and Clive Owen’s unique parenting style as they raise their nine ‘free-range’ children on their 2,000-acre remote hill farm in the Yorkshire Dales.
“Our Yorkshire Farm demonstrates Channel 5’s continued commitment to the nations and regions, particularly in Yorkshire, where it has invested over £20m since 2015.”
Despite the show not currently airing, Amanda continues to update fans on family life on her personal Twitter account.
Recent posts have shown Amanda’s children enjoying the sunny weather and exploring their farm at Ravenseat.
Fans have been sharing their love for the series, with many of them missing the weekly broadcast of the show.
One fan commented on Twitter: “Watched the repeats of your beautiful programme last night. Gives me a feeling of peace and tranquillity seeing your lovely family enjoying life and helping around the farm.”
“You and Clive are doing a wonderful job of educating your children in the true values of life. Hard work, consideration and politeness among them,” replied another fan.
“Thanks for allowing us a peek into your lives… The best of TV.”
