YouTuber Corey La Barrie’s parents sue Ink Master star Daniel Silva for son’s ‘wrongful death’ after fatal car crash – The Sun

YOUTUBER Corey La Barrie’s parents are suing Ink Master star Daniel Silva for “wrongful death,” claiming he is responsible for the car crash that killed their son.

Simon La Barrie and Lissa Burton alleged Daniel, 26, acted negligently in the hours leading up to the May 10 car crash.

Court papers obtained by Us Weekly claim Daniel was “driving the vehicle at an extremely high speed unreasonable for the condition and in violation of California law.”

The Ink Master star also allegedly “failed to use reasonable care while driving the vehicle.”

The lawsuit also claims Daniel was “intoxicated by alcohol and/or other unknown substances,” which they allege his own company provided.

Daniel Silva Tattoos is also listed as a Defendant in the case.

Public Information Office for the LAPD confirmed to The Sun at the time: "The vehicle was traveling at a high rate speed. The vehicle crashed into a street sign and tree.”

Corey, who was the passenger of the vehicle, was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Los Angeles Police Department said in a press release that Daniel “attempted to leave the scene,” but was “stopped by citizens who came to render aid.”

Daniel was arrested and charged with murder.

He plead not guilty on May 20.

He has a court hearing on June 30 and faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

The fatal crash took place on Corey's 25th birthday.

Corey’s mother wrote on Instagram after the tragic loss: "My heart breaks right now, on my son's 25th birthday today. He was very drunk and got into a car with a drunk driver.

"The accident killed him instantly. No words can describe the sadness. It just feels so unreal and I'm overwhelmed with grief.”

She ended the caption: “I love you so much Corey and will miss you so so much. It's just so unfair.”

Corey’s younger brother Jarrad wrote on Instagram: "My brother Corey passed away last night in a car accident with his drunk friend driving… this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.

"I miss you so much already, this isn't fair. Thank you for always being the best big brother I could ask for I love you so f***ing much life's never gonna be the same without you R.I.P.”

He added: "P.S say hi to grandad and grandma for me. I love you.”
