Police are looking for a group who stole $60,000 in prescription drugs from a Midtown pharmacy during the city’s worst night of looting, the NYPD said Saturday.
The three men, who appear to be in their 20s or younger, were caught on surveillance video inside a West 50th Street Rite Aid, after breaking in through a window around 11:15 p.m. on Monday, according to the NYPD.
Clad in surgical masks and toting a backpack, they were captured dipping under a small entryway to the pharmacy before fleeing with the pricey drug haul.
One wore a sweatshirt printed “AD-HD,” an apparent nod to attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, written in text that mirrors the logo of the band AC/DC.
Manhattan saw its most looting-related arrests during the George Floyd protests on the night of the alleged Rite Aid burglary, with 183 charged, according to the district attorney.
