A savvy mum saves up to \u00a380 on cinema trips with her family \u2013 by taking in her own hot dogs and nachos.<\/p>\n
Casey Major-Bunce would spend around \u00a3120 on tickets and snacks each time her family-of-six went to see a film.<\/p>\n
Now she claims she\u2019s saving \u00a31,200 per year by not forking out on cinema grub.<\/p>\n
READ MORE: 'I help other mums pay off debts and make extra cash \u2013 here's my secrets'<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n The mum-of-four puts her preheated hot dog sausages in a flask and takes buns, mustard and ketchup ready to assemble before the lights go down.<\/p>\n She fills old Costa cups with shop-bought nachos and even takes her own nacho cheese sauce to enjoy at the flicks.<\/p>\n Casey, 33, of Portsmouth, left, said: \u201cWe have four children so going to the cinema and buying the tickets and hot dogs, drinks and nachos and snacks costs around \u00a3120 for the whole family.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cBut by making your own snacks, just the tickets are around \u00a340 or \u00a350 maximum. You\u2019re saving about \u00a370 or \u00a380.\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cIt\u2019s not like I\u2019m bringing something alien into the cinema that would upset other customers with the smell. They sell hot dogs at the cinema.<\/p>\n \u201cI wouldn\u2019t ever take any food that they didn\u2019t sell as I wouldn\u2019t want to upset anyone. <\/p>\n "I\u2019m just saving myself money.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Elsewhere, another money saving mum revealed her recipe for her DIY Lunchables.<\/p>\n The mum-of-six went viral on TikTok for the budget version of the cracker snacks.<\/p>\n She bought the items from Aldi to cut the costs of making her children lunch.<\/p>\n The popular cracker stacking snack usually costs around \u00a31.60, which would cost the mum \u00a39.60 if she bought a pack each for her six children.<\/p>\n However, her version comes in at just 56p per person, or a little over \u00a33.30 per child.<\/p>\n
