luxury tea bags weren&#x27;t worth the price<\/span><\/figcaption><p>I was really impressed with the taste, but they do come at a price.<\/p>\n<p>These M&amp;S teabags made a smooth and rich brew and I&#x27;d be happy to swap my usual morning Tetley for a cup of this instead.<\/p>\n<p>It was rich tasting <\/p>\n<p>But at \u00a33.20, it&#x27;s the most expensive of the bunch &#8211; and despite the taste &#8211; it is pretty difficult to justify the price.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Taste: 9\/10<\/li>\n<li>Price: 5\/10<\/li>\n<li>Overall: 14\/20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Lidl Knightsbridge Red Label teabags<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a32.19 for 240 bags<\/li>\n<li>0.9p per bag<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/76964bef-112c-4235-a61c-252d7612a887.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Lidl&#x27;s box of teabags is huge and it&#x27;s one of the cheapest that you can buy.<\/p>\n<p>They also made a great brew that was tasty and wholesome so I was pretty impressed.<\/p>\n<p>These teagbags made a sweet brew that I imagine would be perfect for dunking a biscuit.<\/p>\n<p>I thought it would be hard to convince me to ditch my reliable Tetley&#x27;s, but this strong and cheap brew may have convinced me otherwise.<\/p>\n<p> I&#x27;m pretty sure even the toughest tea connoisseur would agree that that Lidl&#x27;s bargain brew is well worth the money. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Taste: 9\/10<\/li>\n<li>Price: 10\/10<\/li>\n<li>Overall: 19\/20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Asda gold tea bags pack<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a32 for 80 bags<\/li>\n<li>2p per bag<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-09-15-at-16.58.03.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>These Asda teabags make quite a dull and plain cuppa.<\/p>\n<p>It&#x27;s not that they taste bad, they&#x27;re just a bit boring and quite weak.<\/p>\n<p>It was smooth to drink, but the taste was just a bit non-descriptive and was a bit more like tea-flavoured water.<\/p>\n<p>The look of the tea is fine \u2013 quite a rich, brown colour &#8211; but the taste just wasn&#x27;t quite up to scratch.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Taste: 6\/10<\/li>\n<li>Price: 6\/10<\/li>\n<li>Overall: 12\/10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Sainsbury&#x27;s Red Label tea bags<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a32.30 for 160 bags<\/li>\n<li>1p per bag<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-09-15-at-16.58.06.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>Sainsbury&#x27;s tea bags were packed full of flavour and made a nice, fresh cuppa.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#x27;t bitter at all and left a lovely aftertaste.<\/p>\n<p>They also smelt delightful and the tea flavour wasn&#x27;t drowned out by the milk.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Taste: 8\/10<\/li>\n<li>Price: 7\/10<\/li>\n<li>Overall: 15\/20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Aldi Red Label tea bags<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a31.59 for 160<\/li>\n<li>0.9p<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/201fc00a-e7c0-4e12-918f-18fa43891eee.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>I was expecting big things from Aldi because their dupes often score highly in supermarket taste tests.<\/p>\n<p>But this time,I was left a little disappointed.<\/p>\n<p>It made lovely, dark down brew but the taste wasn&#x27;t quite up to scratch &#8211; it was a little tasteless if anything and it didn&#x27;t leave a lasting impression.<\/p>\n<p>But at \u00a31.59, there&#x27;s no denying it&#x27;s great value. <\/p>\n<p>So if you&#x27;re willing to sacrifice a little on taste &#8211; they weren&#x27;t awful after all &#8211; then these tea bags are well worth it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Taste: 6\/10<\/li>\n<li>Price: 9\/10<\/li>\n<li>Overall: 15\/20<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Tetley Original<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a32.95 from Sainsbury&#x27;s<\/li>\n<li>3p per bag<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tetley is one of the UK&#x27;s leading brands and my go-to brew.<\/p>\n<p>It&#x27;s mild in taste but refreshing and easy to drink &#8211;
