{"id":81121,"date":"2023-11-14T21:49:25","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T21:49:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/posterboyedit.com\/?p=81121"},"modified":"2023-11-14T21:49:25","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T21:49:25","slug":"itv-hounded-by-complaints-over-nadia-sawalhas-pro-palestine-posts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/posterboyedit.com\/world-news\/itv-hounded-by-complaints-over-nadia-sawalhas-pro-palestine-posts\/","title":{"rendered":"ITV &apos;hounded by complaints&apos; over Nadia Sawalha&apos;s pro-Palestine posts"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>ITV receives barrage of complaints over Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha&#8217;s &#8216;one-sided&#8217; pro-Palestine Instagram posts &#8211; as she hits back saying she has talked about the &#8216;continuing hostage crisis for Israel&#8217;<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Ms Sawalha hit back saying she has talked about the &#8216;awful tragedy of October 7&#8217;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha is at the centre of a bitter row after being accused of using her social media account to circulate pro-Palestinian propaganda, while ignoring the suffering of Israelis murdered and kidnapped by Hamas terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>The Mail on Sunday can reveal that ITV has been bombarded with complaints from viewers angered by what they claim is a &#8216;one-sided&#8217; stance after the conflict began after Hamas terrorists committed atrocities in southern Israel on October 7.<\/p>\n<p>In further Instagram posts, Ms Sawalha, 58, also infuriated viewers of the ITV panel show, many of whom were Jewish, after she appeared to support pro-Palestinian campaigners who argue that the best way to secure the return of the hostages, who include several Brits, was for Israel to adhere to a ceasefire in Gaza, even though many military experts and politicians, including Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer, argue this would only allow Hamas time to restock weaponry.<\/p>\n<p>An ITV insider confirmed that the channel&#8217;s switchboard had been &#8216;bombarded&#8217; with viewers saying they were angered by Sawalha&#8217;s stance on Gaza, and who &#8216;wanted to know the best way of lodging complaints against her with ITV bosses&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/13\/08\/77729495-12742481-image-a-1_1699864355009.jpg\" height=\"966\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha is at the centre of a row as viewers claim she has a &#8216;one-sided&#8217; stance on the Israel\/Palestine conflict<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/13\/08\/77729493-12742481-image-m-4_1699864378213.jpg\" height=\"1113\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>An Instagram story posted by the Loose Women star with a big banner saying &#8216;Free Palestine&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/13\/08\/77729491-12742481-image-m-5_1699864390864.jpg\" height=\"1046\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>She reposted a Save The Children post which says &#8216;no child should know displacement&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/13\/10\/77733429-12742481-image-a-9_1699872848986.jpg\" height=\"178\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/13\/10\/77733427-12742481-image-a-10_1699872851130.jpg\" height=\"277\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/13\/10\/77733423-12742481-image-a-11_1699872853731.jpg\" height=\"226\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>People have been accusing the Loose Women host of being silent\u00a0 October 7<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We were quite surprised at the volume of complaints over the past week about Nadia. It&#8217;s quite unusual to get this sort of reaction. But then again, Israel\/Palestine has always been a very divisive issue.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>People commenting online also asked why she has been &#8216;silent on 7\/10&#8217;.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But Ms Sawalha told MailOnline: &#8216;I have talked about the awful tragedy of October 7th and the continuing hostage crisis for Israel.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;As a British-Arab I have also talked about the plight of the Palestinians, and I firmly believe, as do millions of other humanitarians, that a ceasefire is the most humane way forward for both the innocent hostages and the innocent civilians of Gaza and the West Bank.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Ms Sawalha&#8217;s cameraman husband Mark Adderley also waded into the row and defended his wife&#8217;s stance suggesting the murder of 1400 men, women and children by Hamas, with over 240 innocents taken hostage in Gaza had been &#8216;all the attention of sympathy in the world&#8217; but that the conversation had now &#8216;moved on.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ms Sawalha is the daughter of the Jordanian-born British actor Nadim Sawalha and his English wife Roberta Lane.
